Hot d*mn I love this place! Straight up NYC deli in the middle of Mt.P - not what you would expect, but blessed to have it here. The sandwiches are always on point, they never skimp on the meat, veggies or condiments. There are like 50 different sandwiches to choose from, but I really don't think you can go wrong. They are all so good! The fresh sides are always delish as well. They have several different sides of pasta salad that they make daily, I recommend a pint to go. Careful coming here on the weekends, there is always a crazy line. My advice - call your order in ahead of time and pick it up on the way to Sullivan's!

Chalkboards on chalkboards on chalkboards. That's the only way to describe Mozzo Deli. They have like one million chalkboards with one billion different breakfast and lunch entrees to choose from. I met friends for breakfast on Sunday at around 9:45 and this place was already hopping. You order at the counter, pay at the register, and someone brings you your food shortly thereafter. To be honest, I was kind shellshocked and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choices. Instead of being adventurous, I panicked and ordered a Mediterranean omelet. It arrive maybe 10 minutes later and did not disappoint. A large hearty omelet with artichokes, sundries tomatoes, olives, and feta was everything I hoped for and then some. The wheat toast was pretty tasty too. One of my friends had an omelet too and the other had a breakfast burrito. Everyone clean plated it, so I'd say it was a hit. I can't wait to come back and try Mozzo for lunch. It's fast, affordable, and really good. No doubt I will be a regular.

This is a default breakfast/lunch place for so many people. Half of the people who come at any one time are regulars. There are an overwhelming number of options but the staff are happy to prepare almost anything on the spot. They remember you and know your preferences after only a few visits. The ingredients are fresh, the food is always good, and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. I've gone countless times to grab one of their omlets for breakfast (did I mention the service is fast) or at lunch to get a quick sandwich. I would recommend them to anyone, especially a group with varrying interests and tastes.

First time checking out Mozzo and overall was a solid experience. I ordered the Balboa which has grilled roast beef on it. It has a great balance of meat and cheese. I was very happy with it. The menu has a lot to order and is honestly a little overwhelming but I definitely can't say they don't have enough choices. The checkout system seems to be a little inefficient. We stood in line to pay, for probably 15 min with only 3 separate orders in front of us. I felt bad for the girl at the checkout because she was ringing up orders, taking phone calls, and having to run to drop off orders. If someone was just in charge of just ringing people up it would move along customers experience. They did get my food done fast, but they handed it to me while in line to pay which like I said took a while so my food wasn't as warm as it should have been. Summary of thoughts: Great food Lots of menu items Inefficient order/checkout system A bigger space would benefit them Lots of people here enjoying it

Absolutely awesome NYC style deli! I've never been disappointed with my order! They also have the best in house made lemonade EVER (blackberry lemonade is my favorite). I love getting lunch here!

On of my favorite places to eat and just chill out. Everything on the menu is great, and the staff are very cool

You don't need me to tell you that the food served at Mozzo is fresh and made to order. You've already been convinced (or should be) that when you're in Mount Pleasant ... whether you're just passing through, or running around town and want a GREAT breakfast or lunch platter, sandwich or salad ... the place to go is Mozzo. Yeah, it's down right shabby and guys behind the counter multi task and don't wear gloves ... but, the comments have been mixed regarding Mozzo's service and I feel this is where I must jump in. Top line ... I've never encountered 'attitude' or anything less than great customer service. In late 2012, we were sitting in our empty house off Rifle Range Road waiting for our furniture to arrive ... it was lunch time and we were hungry. I called my realtor and asked for a suggestion for great takeout. She quickly suggested Mozzo Deli and added, "You'll love it." The place was packed, yet orderly. I loved the vibe. I loved the fact that I could make my selections among overhead black boards. There were tons of choices. Everything sounded wonderful. Top line, our pastrami and Swiss on rye sandwiches were heavy and delicious. I was sold and I intended to return ... often. I returned to Mozzo the next day to check out their breakfast offerings. It was after the 'rush' and the owner, Shannon, was in the front of the house. I found him friendly and very personable. (I unexpectedly returned to work ... so, lunch at Mozzo, for me, would be on hold.) Over the past 2 1/2 years, I have stopped at Mozzo for breakfast, either to take out or eat in, probably close to 75 times ... always, for a Whitey (fresh cracked egg whites, fresh spinach, grilled red onions, turkey and Swiss). Sometimes, I've added mushrooms or substituted ham. Sometimes, I've ordered it as a sandwich. Sometimes, on a platter. Sometimes, as an omelette, sometimes, all scrambled up. Sometimes, with an everything bagel (my fave) toasted dark with cream cheese on the side. Sometimes, stuffed into a wrap that's been pressed and cut in thirds so I could stuff my face while I drove to work. No one ever hesitated over my special requests, or substitutions. I've never been on the receiving side of a poor attitude. On a rare occasion, I've had 2 eggs over easy, with gooey, melted Muenster and crispy bacon on a double toasted everything bagel ... but, I always return to my Whitey. It is always perfect! Everyone behind the counter greets me by the name and treats me by respect ... even during the breakfast rush on weekends. The server always pauses to wait to see if my order was made the way I requested. I am a proud, loyal customer of Mozzo Deli.

Today, I had the Shrimp Tacos..Absolutely Devine!!!! I love this deli and their staff. I encourage all seafood lovers to try the Shrimp tacos. Grilled seasoned shrimps, meet, crispy bacon,Grape tomatoes and Veggies in a cool mayo Sauce. Outstanding!!!!!

I've seen the reviews criticising the service here but I've never had an issue with it. The food here is very good. The place is crowded every time I stop there for lunch, but I haven't waited more than 10 minutes to get my order. The Coleman is my favorite sandwich I've had so far; turkey, fontina, roasted red peppers, pesto and a touch of balsamic vinegar make a perfect fresh combination. I try their sweet tea every time I eat there and it's never been very sweet or strong enough, but that is my only complaint.

Love service. Love bagels & those yummy cinnamon rolls. Flavored coffee & wifi. Great deli, great people!!

  • Liz D.

The space here is nothing special. Very casual, which is fine, but also there were torn cushions and it was kind of dirty when we came (granted, it was during the brunch rush, so it might be better at off-peak times). The staff seemed nice enough. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. I had a 3 Pigs breakfast sandwich (ham, bacon, sausage, egg, & cheese), and it was OK, but way too greasy. The cinnamon roll was ridiculously good, though. Painfully good. So good. Not sure I'll go back, but I don't regret going.

I usually buy breakfast every morning before going to work, so I'm a creature of habit. Twice I've stopped in and felt like the person behind the counter had an attitude. This morning will be the last time. The girl threw my food in the bag and slid it to me. The bag wasn't secure so I had to stand there to adjust the bag holding up the other two people behind me. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice but my money spends where ever I go so I don't need to go there for my breakfast sandwich!

I love this deli! I visit Mount Pleasant a few times a year & always come here to eat. I've had their breakfast and lunch & both are delicious & priced right. I have two young boys & they love to eat here too. The owner & employees are very personable & make you feel right at home & never rush you to make a decision on their extensive menu! Thanks for having an interesting place to eat & not some boring chain!

  • Alex B.

Mozzo is the best place in Mount Pleasant for a sandwich. Fantastic pasta salads and salads as well. Great, friendly staff. I would rate them a 6 out of 5 if I could.

    (5)
  • Kimber S.

We were looking for something new to try. This place covered a non traditional breakfast and lunch flare. I enjoyed the French toast and my husband had an egg sandwich (nothing special, I could have made it) The cinnamon rolls are huge and yummy.

  • Gloria K.

A true deli experience! Walk in and the walls are covered in chalkboards of choices. They have every type of sandwich you could imagine. There was a bit of a line but it moved quickly at midday. There is a case full of fresh and appetizing pasta, potato and other classic cold salads. I ended up going with the honey slider upon recommendation, with the pimento cheese pasta salad and the tortellini salad. The sandwich was great! A good portion of thinly sliced turkey with crispy bacon on a fresh kaiser roll. It felt like a sandwich my dad would make for me back home. The pasta salads were well seasoned - I would try some others next time I go back! A great northern style deli hidden in Mt. Pleasant.

Being in town on business, I try to eat local as iften as I can. Asking for recommendations, I wad told to try Mozzo's. The person who was making the recommendation couldn't describe what they served, just that it was GOOD! (Their emphasis) After a visit I 100% agree. Good, fresh food made in the deli. Excellent sandwich, side and cookie. It's a shame I'm not spending more time in the area because I'd definitely have lunch here again.

So many sandwiches so little time! We go here often...it's close for us...easy in and out..and great sandwiches...and so much selection. For awhile my husband and I planned to try every sandwich on the menu...we have yet to succeed. We have tried quite a few...but I think our fave right now is "The Jerk"...spicy, juicy, just damn good. It's really hard to go wrong with one of these sandwiches. What we find most fun is that even if you order the same sandwich off the menu it can be a little different each time depending on who makes it. I like that...seems like sandwich artistry or something. We've had a few of their sides which have all been very good but we mostly stick to the potato chips...which they have a great selection of. I am partial to the sweet potato chips. Also, really like their green tea with honey. They have a couple of fruit blends as well which are pretty good too. The service is always great and although there can be a line things move quite quickly. Definitely our go-to sandwich spot in Mt. Pleasant:)

    (4)
  • Dariel S.

I love Mozzo deli, I think the Jerk is my favorite deli sandwich ever. They have so many choices every time I come here I'm standing there for five minutes with my mouth open trying to decide. Staff is also very friendly.

    (5)
  • Christopher B.

Rude as always. It just baffles me how I continue to spend money going here. To be fair the food is fantastic, but the service is awful. The girl behind the counter couldn't be more rude, and the guy today (taller with a beard) literally eyed me down as he brought my food (after he tried to give it to the wrong customer) and sarcastically said "have a good Sunday". Place is so good food wise but service makes it get two stars.

    (2)
  • Victoria A.

This place reminds me of the north where I grew up. There egg sandwiches are the best. Everything here is amazing. There food is always amazing. It's always busy which is a great sign too! Love love love this place

    (5)
  • A Z.

Four stars is about right. This is by far and away the best traditional deli/sand which shop in Mt Pleasant. Unfortunately that is a slightly dubious honor. All their food is pretty good, though nothing stands out as incredible. Line can get really long and moves slowly as their system is a little inefficient sometimes. All the staff have been consistently friendly and the quality of the food is equally consistent. Good selection of chips and great ice tea/lemonades too!

    (4)
  • Elizabeth R.

Best deli in town! Owner and employees are always friendly and excited to get to know their customers. Omlets are my favorite! They have a wide selection of sandwiches, omlets, and salads AND they are willing to substitute ingredients to your liking! GREAT ATMOSPHERE!

    (5)
  • Jake C.

By far the best food around.. The owner only truly cares about putting out the best food possible which is hard to find

    (5)
  • Mike M.

Met two buddies for lunch here today. None of us had been before but being swimmers, and after this was recommended by another swimmer, we knew it was bound to be filling and delicious. Two of us opted for the Godfather - it was great. not too oily but tons of deli meat. Our buddy has the reuben...he was finished first. There are TONS of choices. TONS. Did I say TONS? I have to get back there ASAP...they have something for everyone and then some. Service was friendly and fast for lunch rush. No complaints here!

    (5)
  • Dwayne T.

Food is pretty good and it has a very chill environment. The staff was not the friendliest though. They seemed to do what they had to at their job and wanted to hurry up and be done.

    (3)
  • Victoria P.

Awesome awesome awesome breakfast and lunch place. Everything there is good. The price is very reasonable. I have never been disappointed. Sausage egg and cheese is just like New York! Great location and always busy. Northern style deli. Makes me happy!

    (5)
  • Cassandra R.

I would love to give Mozzo 5 stars and for the food they deserve it. What knocks them 2 full stars for me is the terrible way this place is run. Nobody knows what they're doing. You've got people making food then taking money, then making food again... No gloves, gross. Nobody communicates with each other. The wait is almost always excruciating and it's not necessary at all. This place is desperate for a competent manager.

  • Scotty C.

How have I not found out about this place until now? So many sandwiches, so little time. Every time I thought I knew what I wanted, I wanted something else too. I will have to get back for more. After flip flopping decision after decision, I decided on the Mockingbird, which consists of breaded chicken cutlet, crispy bacon, muenster cheese, Russian dressing, lettuce, & tomato served on a kaiser roll. For a side, I chose pimento cheese pasta. The cutlets on the sandwich were fileted extra thin and were breaded perfectly. The Russian dressing really kicked up the flavor too. The pimento pasta... I barely remember because I devoured it. I gonna take a guess and say that it was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more and more. Maybe even the Mozzo Monster (From the website: "Finish this puppy in less than 30 minutes, and we'll put your mug on the "Mozzo" wall of fame and send you away with a T-shirt. This behemoth is comprised of 6 patties, cheese, and just about everything we have for fixins! Finished, it weighs over 3lbs. Good luck!") Any takers?

I do not find the people here too friendly. I have been here twice and have been helped by the same thin young man (has a thin beard) on both occasions. The first time he threw the fruit bowl at my direction at the counter, wasn't looking me in the eye as if I were a burden to him and seemed lazy. I gave him another chance that day when I asked for hot sauce, and although he acknowledged me and my request, he continued to walk away using a waving motion saying they are over there. FAIL! I wasn't going to come back, but I was in a hurry and knew the food was average(we will get to that in a sec). This time the same young man helped me and was in a better mood(lucky me...?! lol) He remembered me and gave better customer service, although when I asked for fruit from inside the cooler, he directed me to pre-packed containers which, oh by the way, was old. I ordered the Rancheros(I think) omelette and it comes with bell peppers, onions, cheddar, and I add bacon. It is a large portion and it fills me up with the cup of fruit. It also comes with toast but I hold it. I have been in the food industry for 7 years and managed 220 employees at a time while doing it. There needs to be a little tightening of the ship with respect to professionalism and customs/courtesies. I will find somewhere else to eat...thanks but no thanks.

If you want lunch options, Mozzo is your place. There are a million versions of hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, burgers, paninis, wraps, pasta salads....the list goes on. The food is pretty solid (great ciabatta rolls fyi) though a little sloppy at times. Because they make to order, the line can get really long at peak times, but wait time is never beyond acceptable. The staff is friendly, but to the point to keep things moving. Plus, free wifi :D

  • Morgan S.

A nice, casual gem in Mt. Pleasant. My husband and I tend to come here Sunday afternoons and it's always jamming. Even so, the service is quick and friendly. The Honey Turkey Sandwich is my favorite. With about 1, 456, 875 choices - it's kind of insane that I always get the same thing but I do. And the best thing about this deli? They sell buckeyes. Yeah, that's right. It's half the reason I come. Peanut Butter + Chocolate = Heaven.

    (4)
  • Tom G.

Mozzo's is a very casual deli, with an impressive menu. It's pretty much basic sandwiches and sides but has a wide variety of both. A dozen or more good looking burgers on the menu for example. Most of the sides are homemade on site. Nice breakfast sandwiches and burritos too. Coffee is a bit basic - could use some improvement. Everything is delicious.

    (4)
  • Joan S.

Fabulous options for everyone. Haven't tried the breakfast menu yet but the lunch menu is amazing. Between my husband and I we have tried 6 different sandwiches and have had zero complaints. My goal is to try everything on the menu. Pretty health conscious as well. Everyone who I have interacted with staff wise was very pleasant.

    (5)
  • Jen H.

I really like this place but for a deli, it is pretty pricey. The food, however, is really good. I usually just go with a standard chicken caesar wrap bc it never disappoints. Their chicken has some herb rub on it which is really refreshing. I'd recommend getting an extra side of caesar to dip it in. The dressing is some of the best I've found... ever. Each time I've been in, the service has been great. Friendly folks, and lots of them too for when things get busy. If you want to grab a sandwich or wrap to go, this is a great spot.

My new fave deli in the Charleston area. I had the eggplant sandwich ... yum!! The staff was very friendly and even helped with the huge menu. It was busy on the Satruday afternoon around lunch time but it went pretty quick and our food was very fresh. When I find myself on that side of town ... I will be back!!

  • Allan B.

I mostly stop in at Mozzo Deli for breakfast when I am on this side of town . I normally get the sausage egg and cheese bagel with a side of potatoes , they also have some really good omelets. The coffee is abundant and always fresh . I love coming for breakfast and watching one of the many TV's around the place. I have had a few of the many sandwich's and deli foods and all has been great . Would love to see them open up on Daniel island

  • Dana D.

I love Mozzo because it reminds me so much of home and the Italian delis I frequented up north. They have a fantastic and mouthwatering selection of pasta salads, potato salad and spreads. And they also have something they called "northern standards" of chicken parm, eggplant parm & sausage and peppers. It's like a little Yankee food haven. Mozzo is sort of tucked away in a non-descript shopping center near Starbucks and Wild Wings on Coleman Blvd. It is also next to a Weight Watchers...which is unbelievably cruel to the Weight Watcher customers if you ask me. There is no way you can walk by this deli and not go in and order something. I MUST go there when ever I am in the area. My better half always gets the Balboa or the Fat Boy, while I savor the Chicken Caprese or the Roma. They often have some specials, and have indulged in one or two of them. They have a lot of homemade pastries, cookies, puddings, and fruits right near the register, making it almost impossible to resist buying one as you are cashing out. The staff has always been friendly and quick. If you are a Yankee in the Lowcountry, this place will certainly make you homesick for your hometown's deli.

    (5)
  • Nick C.

So much to choose from and they don't mind you making substitutions to customize your sandwich. It is my first time here and to my pleasant surprise, they serve burgers. I had the southern burger and it wasn't bad at all. I would have nicked a star for having to wait a little to long for our order, but They make their own flavor lemonade in house and they earn it back for that.

  • J L.

Easily my favorite place for a quick breakfast or lunch in Charleston. Big fan of the egg white omelette it the fusion sandwich. Defiantly stop in if you have a chance.

  • Stuart W.

For everyone on here wanting a touchy-feely BS "customer service experience" get over yourselves!!! I love the lack of pretense as much as I loved my delicious Reuben! "Y'all" would never make it in NYC!!!! I love this place.

  • Stella K.

Love this place! Everything I've had is good! I go all the time! Breakfast items and lunch items. Baked goods are DELISH too!

    (5)
  • John David Johnston G.

Been a few times and have found each time to be great. About 40 different sandwiches to choose from and because of that, I have no idea what I had and what to recommend. Just step in the store and you'll be impressed. I did have some of a wrap tray they assembled for us for our 4th celebration. That was amazing too.

    (5)
  • Joe M.

Came across Mozzo via their great Yelp rating. They put together 30 catered sandwiches in October for a business meeting. The sandwiches were so good that we halved them and mixed and matched so that we could try multiple. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had!

    (5)
  • Bradley T.

Massive selection of really good food. Very laid back. It has quickly become a Saturday morning routine for us (so much for that New Years gym resolution...).

  • Michael S.

I've only swung in here once, when I had an appointment with a real estate lawyer down the street. But I'm really glad I stopped here instead of the Starbucks. I had the breakfast burrito, and it was exactly what I needed. It was huge, so it filled me up, I got it with sausage, so it had the perfect amount of grease. Add that too the eggs, and the indulgent amount of cheese in there and you have the recipe for the perfect breakfast food. The coffee was good too, which was a nice bonus to the burrito. The main issue I had with the place though was the way they take your order and pay. Once I placed my order at the counter on the right, I then milled about with another 3-4 customers waiting to pay and looking more stupid then I usually do. They would be better served to do it all at once, or have someone dedicated to taking the loot, but that's just my two cents.

    (4)
  • Kayla J.

Bland. I got the fried eggplant sandwich and kept on trying to think of condiments I could put on it to make it actually have flavor. My boyfriend had the same issue with lacking flavor on his sandwich (cannot remember what he got) so he asked the counter person for some side sauce and the guy gave him serious attitude about it like we were ruining the food when all he was trying to do was make it worth eating. The guy was so rude that he went to the end of the counter and him and the manager stood there talking about us and staring for a good 5 minutes. It's not hard to tell when someone is talking trash about you even from 20ft away. If I'm ever in the area again I might re try this place but the probability of me being in that situation again is slim to none. They have a million options so maybe we just ordered the wrong sandwiches. It's a great place to get lunch if you work in the area or to have a casual lunch and catch up with some friends.

  • Kathryn B.

I wasn't too impressed but the three other people in my group enjoyed their food; though it wasn't anything to write home about. I ordered the Fusion on a croissant and added cucumber slices. Unfortunately, they forgot the cucumber slices. I didn't say anything because #1. They were slammed #2. They don't make or break sandwiches. It cost $30 for two sandwiches, two sides of pasta salad, and two drinks. Not awful but with all the good eateries in town, I won't be back. Sad cause I really wanted to like this deli.

Just had Mozzo deli deliver a great breakfast this morning. The sausage burritos are fantastic!

Great place for breakfast in Mt. Pleasant. I've had breakfast many times and they are quick and delicious.

  • Elizabeth C.

I love Mozzo's prices are reasonable and the people there are very friendly. The only negative thing that I can say is I wish they wore latex gloves when handling food and change them often. Other wise I think they are great!! I go at least once a week.....see you soon

  • Meredith J.

Wandered into Mozzo when looking for sandwiches to take to the beach. We loved their sandwiches so much that we returned a few times while on vacation. I'm from the Philadelphia area, so when I first went to order, I asked what size hoagies they had and was given the funniest look. Glad I was quickly able to look at the menu and order a wrap! For breakfast I ordered the standard bacon, egg, and cheese and for lunch I kept ordering the Fusion. The Fusion was out of this world! My boyfriend had the Godfather each time we returned and we were both left satisfied.

  • Jamie S.

This is the best deli we've tried in the Charleston area. They serve both breakfast and lunch. While there breakfast options are good, their lunch menu is amazing. My favorite is the Balboa on a wedge. My only complaint is they aren't open for supper.

    (5)
  • Tastybeverages T.

Great deli, very good sandwiches and delicious sides. Everything I have tried has been tasty, with a taste worthy of 5 stars, but I give it 4 for two reasons. One, this place is overpriced. To get 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks and side will cost you like $30. Why not go to a regular restaurant and get some service at that price? Second, they are pretty slow, and the line often backs up practically out the door. Worth checking out though if you like a good lunch.

    (4)
  • Dano M.

Nozzo good....Nothing great about this place...Meats are marginal...Pastrami, why so lean? This is not a true Deli...not even close. What REAL DELI serves a breakfast burrito? I rest my case...

  • Ed M.

My favorite deli in Mount Pleasant. Great sandwiches, served both cold and hot. Salads are pretty good, too. My favorite is the mocking bird on kaiser. Yum yum. Getting a table for a large party at lunch time can be challenging, as it gets a crowd and limited seating for large parties.

    (4)
  • Samantha M.

Yum! Chicken Caprese was delicious. Hoping the other sandwiches are just as good... The line was long but worth the wait.

  • R W.

Great hangover food. Everything is delicious- def not healthy, but if you're coming to Mozzo you probably aren't looking for healthy. Two complaints: Staff is obnoxiously rude & no recycling. The wasted food, paper, and plastic in this deli is sad.

    (3)
  • Shakerhead U.

Really great food. As far as food goes it's one of the best deli's in which I've eaten. Would give 5 stars, but they don't recycle, so only giving two. It's 2012 and they don't have a recycling bin? Really? So disappointing. This place does a lot of business, so they generate a lot of waste, much of which is recyclable. I took my recycling with me, but I don't plan on returning until I confirm that they've implemented a recycling plan. Please encourage this great eatery to place recycling bins in their establishment.

Not just a sandwich shop. Not exactly a deli, but close. The number of selections is a bit intimidating. I am guessing there were forty different basic options. Different breads and adds or subtracts had many folks in my group still puzzled when it was their turn to order at the counter. when you hit the door, start studying the menu. All sides are a la carte and appeared to be by the pound and were a bit pricey in relationship to the overall scheme. The sandwiches are in the $7-$8.50 range. I can vouch for the eggplant sandwich. Great taste. The chicken caprici was very good. The Cuban sandwich was good, but I have had better. The cuban was enough for two. The roast beef with caramelized onion was very good.

    Delicious freshly made breakfast burrito.

  • Heather H.

I don't recall the name of the sandwiches that I or any one in my party ate but everyone left this place full and happy! The food was delicious. Service was wonderful. Very casual atmosphere, clean, friendly staff. Couldn't be a better place to have lunch! The cost wasn't as cheap as I hoped for but while visiting Charleston there weren't many things that were cheap.

  • Brett M.

This is the best deli in town! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with an overwhelming number of choices. The seating is so comfortable with couches, booths and outdoor tables. Coffee is available and there are a few TVs. I got both a sandwich and one of the salads out of the case and both were delicious. It is totally affordable and fun.

After a 2-days stay in Mt. Pleasant and on our way out of town to Myrtle Beach, we stumbled upon this deli. It took us a few minutes to get acquainted with the menu on the blackboards surrounding the kitchen since there were so many choices to choose from. We settled on the muffaletta, southern smoke, and the Brazilian burger. The southern smoke is slow smoked pork shoulder w/ barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, and grilled onions. The pork is lean and very flavorful. The flavor meld perfectly between two poppy seed kaiser buns. The muffaletta is also on the kaiser buns w/ layers of sliced-to-order meat (mortadella, ham, salami), mozzarella, provolone, and olive salad. The essential ingredients were used, but for some reason, it didn't meet my expectations. Maybe it was because I was comparing it to the muffaletta I had in New Orleans at Serio's. As for the Brazilian burger, it was a bacon cheese burger with an addition of a fried egg. I didn't taste it, but my nephew seemed to like it. We had our share of sweet tea during our visit to S.C., but the sweet green tea at Mozzo was a standout. As busy as the servers were, they should remember to smile though. We were not getting the same southern hospitality here as we had gotten elsewhere in S.C. Bon appetit!

Great place for Breakfast or lunch. The menu is quite large for a deli and everything that I have had is pretty tasty. Owners seem to keep staff happy as I am used to familiar faces. Large selection of chips and side items.

The fusion sandwich is amazing.. They also have a great selection of chips and rare soda flavors... Black cherry is my favorite!! The staff is also very nice and warming!!

Disclaimer here is that one of Mozzo's chefs is a very close family friend, like the brother I never had. That said, I wish we had this kind of sandwich place in Atlanta! TONS of choices, from super-basic to crazy creative - I had the Colorado Roots, with roasted turkey, cream cheese, bacon, guac, lettuce, and tomato, on multigrain bread. Yum! They also have tons of homemade salads (like chicken salad, egg salad, potato salad, etc), and I tried the macaroni salad, which was delicious. They're open for breakfast, so we visited again on our way out of town - the breakfast burrito was INSANE, with eggs, potatoes, green chilis, chipotle sauce, and Italian sausage. French toast was also good, though I like mine well done so next time I'll ask for more time on the griddle. Mozzo does catering and take out, and the prices are reasonable, so it might be good for a beachy picnic!

As a native New Yorker, I was home sick for this kind of variety for a very long time. After 7 years and a lucky drive by, this is my new favorite sandwich spot. Love it, love it, love it!

You're likely to zip down Coleman without noticing Mozzo's, but be sure to stop in and give it a try! The catering company is running full-throttle, but they'll serve you breakfast and lunch, too. My caprici sandwich was made with very fresh ingredients, and I'd like to re-visit and try more on their huge menu!

I had the fat boy sandwich and was surprised how great it was...It had a good amount of meat and the taste reminded me of my favorite NYC deli...I will be back.......

Mozzo has some great sandwiches. The only problem is that there are so many to chose from. I have sampled a number of the sandwich options and I have never been unhappy. Mozzo also offers a number of pasta salads and other side items that are very good as well.

Pleasant.

  • David T.

Food is pretty good and it has a very chill environment. The staff was not the friendliest though. They seemed to do what they had to at their job and wanted to hurry up and be done.

This place reminds me of the north where I grew up. There egg sandwiches are the best. Everything here is amazing. There food is always amazing. It's always busy which is a great sign too! Love love love this place

Awesome awesome awesome breakfast and lunch place. Everything there is good. The price is very reasonable. I have never been disappointed. Sausage egg and cheese is just like New York! Great location and always busy. Northern style deli. Makes me happy!

  • Nicole J.

We were looking for something new to try. This place covered a non traditional breakfast and lunch flare. I enjoyed the French toast and my husband had an egg sandwich (nothing special, I could have made it) The cinnamon rolls are huge and yummy.

  • Saba S.

  • Tm D.

For everyone on here wanting a touchy-feely BS "customer service experience" get over yourselves!!! I love the lack of pretense as much as I loved my delicious Reuben! "Y'all" would never make it in NYC!!!! I love this place.

Been a few times and have found each time to be great. About 40 different sandwiches to choose from and because of that, I have no idea what I had and what to recommend. Just step in the store and you'll be impressed. I did have some of a wrap tray they assembled for us for our 4th celebration. That was amazing too.

Came across Mozzo via their great Yelp rating. They put together 30 catered sandwiches in October for a business meeting. The sandwiches were so good that we halved them and mixed and matched so that we could try multiple. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had!

    (4)
  • Kayla J.

Great place for breakfast in Mt. Pleasant. I've had breakfast many times and they are quick and delicious.

I love Mozzo's prices are reasonable and the people there are very friendly. The only negative thing that I can say is I wish they wore latex gloves when handling food and change them often. Other wise I think they are great!! I go at least once a week.....see you soon

This is the best deli we've tried in the Charleston area. They serve both breakfast and lunch. While there breakfast options are good, their lunch menu is amazing. My favorite is the Balboa on a wedge. My only complaint is they aren't open for supper.

Nozzo good....Nothing great about this place...Meats are marginal...Pastrami, why so lean? This is not a true Deli...not even close. What REAL DELI serves a breakfast burrito? I rest my case...

Yum! Chicken Caprese was delicious. Hoping the other sandwiches are just as good... The line was long but worth the wait.

Great hangover food. Everything is delicious- def not healthy, but if you're coming to Mozzo you probably aren't looking for healthy. Two complaints: Staff is obnoxiously rude & no recycling. The wasted food, paper, and plastic in this deli is sad.
